WASHINGTON – Police in Prince George’s County made a grisly discovery when they found two bags containing a man’s body parts Sunday. Now they say the man who was killed was targeted.
“It’s very disturbing, very disturbing,” says Officer Nicole Hubbard with Prince George’s County police.
Investigators identified the remains they found in the 8800 block of Enfield Court as 28-year-old Jacinto Perez of Laurel, Maryland, Hubbard says.
“They began combing through the apartment complex searching for additional evidence,” Hubbard says.
Investigators also searched the area in a grid with cadaver dogs and have talked with other residents of the apartment complex where they say Perez also lived.
“Currently, our detectives do not believe this to be a random act of violence. They believe this to be targeted,” Hubbard says.
There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to a conviction in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
